Internal to GVSU - Associate Dean for Inclusive Excellence - College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Allendale
The Associate Dean will lead CLAS initiatives related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and access (DEIA) and provide the vision and action to establish CLAS as a leader in equity at the university. The AD will spearhead equity and inclusion initiatives around student success and support, pedagogy and curriculum, faculty and staff hiring, mentoring and professional development, and College structures and processes. The AD will also develop a college-wide, action-focused DEIA committee and provide leadership for that group. Program Specialist, Laker Educational Opportunity Center- Enrollment Development Allendale
This role for the Laker Educational Opportunity Center (LEOC), a federally funded TRIO Program, will be primarily responsible for providing career, academic, and personal advising to participating adults that reside and receive services in either Kent or Muskegon counties. They will work closely with the Program Director to execute the full scope of the program proposal.  This includes conducting workshops, planning cultural events and educational enrichment activities for participants. They will share in the management of program participants, collaborating with target schools/community agencies and designing, implementing and coordinating the evaluation of LEOC program services. Moreover, we are seeking someone with a dynamic personality willing and able to represent the University within the public and has the necessary skills to engage with a diverse community and encourage others to return to or enter a post-secondary program.
Psychologist/Clinical Social Worker/Counselor; Coordinator of Case Management Services - University Counseling Allendale
Summary: This position is a generalist case management position providing a blend of post-crisis brief support and referral assistance to students. The coordinator of case management facilitates the return of students to the academic community post crisis episode or hospitalization, helps students determine the appropriate level of care, and provides referral assistance to students needing/wanting a higher level of care. This generalist clinician will also assist with providing individual, group, and crisis counseling services and campus outreach prevention services.
